Topic: Sunshine Coast Airport Expansion – What does it mean for the Hinterland?
Council’s largest construction project costed at $225 million will potentially attract up to 2,000,000 passengers to the Sunshine Coast annually. This is an increase of more than 50% of the current visitor numbers.
Maleny Commerce has secured Rachel Meyer, Director of International Marketing VSC and Steve Prasser, General Manager Commercial & Aviation to tell us what this means for our region.
Completion date is December 2020 and as we know that date will be upon us quickly. It’s time to start the conversation on how our region can benefit. Join us for breakfast to hear from Rachel and Steve tells us about:
- What future tourism markets will be open because of the airport expansion
- How this will impact the region
- Are there things the region should be doing to attract these markets
Bring along your questions and any ideas on how we as a region can collaborate to benefit us all.
